For nearly three decades, my wife Clarissa and I have built a marriage anchored in faith, sacrifice, and intentional growth. Early in our engagement, we learned the hard way the importance of aligning our relationship with God’s design before saying “I do.” That decision has shaped the strength and stability of our marriage.

As a pastor, I have walked with more than 35 couples through premarital counseling and led the majority of those same couples in the sacred moment of marriage. Through God’s grace in my own life, the depth of His Word, and these sacred experiences, I have gained complete confidence in God’s original plan for the covenant of marriage.

Too often, couples feel pressured to plan elaborate weddings without considering the importance of investing in their marriage.
